SAXON: To Hell And Back

SAXON frontman Biff Byford has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"We're on the train from Berlin to Munich, we've just been putting together the film and soundtrack for the upcoming new DVD (working title 'To Hell and Back Again'). Tour is going great so far, first three shows sold out. Just one thing we'd like to know, should we play the '80 set all the way through the tour, or should we play the 'Lionheart' set in Belgium, England, Scotland and Holland, what do you think?

"Looks like America is gonna happen, working hard on the new visa system after 9/11, as off today tour starts in Allentown 4th of November, unfortunately we have to put back south America yet again and some dates in the USA, we're really sorry for that, but we're working hard to get replacement dates.

"It's great having Nigel [Glockler, drums] back in the band it sounds like he never left. We've started writing and some recording for the new album that should be out next year. We think SPV are going to re-release the 'Lionheart' album and we're trying to put together some extra bonus material.

"That's all for now folks, keep the faith."

As previously reported, SAXON were originally slated to embark on an American tour in May but ended up cancelling the dates as a result of Byford wanting to stay by his family's side after his house in the Normandie area of France burned down.

SAXON have been confirmed for the Sweden Rock kick-off concert on December 3 at Globen Annexet in Stockholm, Sweden. Also appearing on the bill are CLAWFINGER and KROKUS.

SAXON are continuing to tour in support of their latest CD, "Lionheart", available now on SPV Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Killing Ground" features artwork by Paul R. Gregory, who has previously worked with the group on the now classic "Crusader" album.
